Recognition

FCIPS are more than just letters.

Having been awarded Fellowship you are entitled to use the post nominals FCIPS. These five letters make you eligible for a huge range of strategic senior roles not only in procurement and supply but also in commercial and operations. They indicate that you’re part of a respected community committed to maintaining professional standards and current ethical conduct. CIPS Fellows are in demand by the biggest names in the FTSE 100 and many of them currently hold CPO roles in the largest organisations in the world. FCIPS recognises you as a procurement leader.

    Importance of Fellowship to me

‘Throughout my career being involved with CIPS has enabled me to stay informed and keep up to date with what is going on in the profession and its future direction. I have forged some long lasting friendships through Fellowship which would leave a big gap if they were not there. This is why I continue to give up my time work for the Institute and champion Fellowship.’
    Peter Williams FCIPS
    Past President
I became involved in the local Birmingham CIPS branch and found the involvement was good fun and the growth in branch membership and commitment was rewarding. I was recommended to apply for Fellowship as a result of the branch involvement work and was hugely honored to accept. It is great to be part of a new network of professionals who represent the best our profession has to offer and to be involved again in encouraging member’s participation in the Fellows of the Future initiative.

Being awarded Fellowship is a reflection of the highest procurement professional achievement and recognition of leadership. Having the opportunity to work across the globe, CIPS Fellowship has been always an internationally recognised testimony to my credibility and competencies as a procurement executive. Certainly, I would encourage senior practitioners to embrace their career journey and aim to accomplish this remarkable achievement.
